Scrapbook Planet was started out of frustration of not having a job. I was laid off from my job of 3 years as a business manager at a local plumbing company in April of 2003. At the beginning of May 2003, my cousin invited me to an all day crop class. I could not believe how eight hours had gone by so quickly. I was immediately hooked and it started as a joke that I should start my own scrap supply business. I have my Bachelors Degree in Accounting and have taken many Small business and financial classes. I had just spent the last 3 years running a small business for someone else; I figured that I could run my own business. So, after many, many unsuccessful attempts to get a real job; I started doing research and filing paperwork to start this endeavor called “Scrapbook Planet”. It has been so much fun and now I can say that I love my job!” In the summer of 2004 I started classes at Chatham College to pursue my MBA. UPDATE: As of 4/20/06, I am officially completed with classes. I now have many new and exciting ideas in store for ScrapbookPlanet.com!! |
